“To Examine the State of Forensic Science in the United States” Before House Committee on the Judiciary – 2017

The CFSO was pleased to be invited by the United States Congress House Judiciary Committee to testify about the needs of the State and Local Forensic Science Community on March 28, 2017. The hearing was titled “To examine the state of forensic science in the United States.” There were four witnesses: Dr. Victor Weedn, MD, JD, Professor of Forensic Sciences at George Washington University; our Chairman Mr. Matthew Gamette, Lab System Director, Idaho State Police Forensic Services; Dr. David Baldwin, National Security Technologies, LLC and former Director of the Ames Iowa based Midwest Forensic Resource Center; and Ms. Sandra Guerra Thompson for the University of Houston Law Center.
